Identification:
Sizes of the Black Ant may vary from the Little Black Ant at 1/16 inch to bigger than 1/2 inch.
Reproduction:
The Queen (s) will lay their eggs and in a couple of weeks will hatch into grubs then in another few weeks adults will emerge.
Feeding and habitat:
The worker ants will work all of their life to find and bring food to the nest and not limiting there search to either day or night. Choice foods include sweet human foods along with the sweet honey dew from aphids and mealy bugs. The nest may be indoors but usually reside outdoors in the soil with nest entrances protected by debris and other other objects.
